DYKE_ON aims to offer all women, straight and gay, a powerful, intellectual sense of style that celebrates sensibilities and aesthetics of lesbian culture.

This first issue has been very personal with contributors from my immediate circle of friends. On subjects that I thought would speak to audiences of DYKE_ON: Rebekah Campbell gives us a glimpse of the queer community in Downtown New York featuring cover model Harmony Boucher; Monika Mogi’s intimate portrait of her best friend Saki in Tokyo; a spotlight on the enigmatic Stine from the band Easter; an artist portfolio on the American figurative painter, advocate of queer politics, and MacArthur Foundation fellowship winner Nicole Eisenman; and an exclusive extract from the second novel “Virtuoso” by the talented young writer Yelena Moskovich which features all lesbian main characters.
