My Abuelo’s Mexican Feast

My Abuelo’s Mexican Feast is a collection of recipes, assembled over the years from Daniella Germain’s Mexican grandfather – her Abuelo.

Daniella traces her Abuelo’s love affair with food which grew throughout his life, as she explores the rich food culture and traditions of Mexico. Many of the recipes have been lifted from the handwritten pages of Daniella’s Abuelo’s recipe collection, whilst others have been inspired by her family’s time in Mexico. From classic seafood dishes that he would devour as a young fisherman, to Mexican interpretations of American food that he was exposed to in Mexico City as a professional surgeon, Daniella’s Abuelo has an extensive and varied collection of recipes to share.

These are authentic, traditional foods often with an inspired, modern influence. Daniella also includes anecdotes written by her family members of their life in Mexico – these personal stories help the reader to get straight to the heart of Mexico’s love of food.
