My Residence, Issue 2 (2017)

My Residence is a new annual publication in English, covering the best of Swedish interiors, design and architecture presented by Residence Magazine throughout a year. The interest in Swedish interior design has increased in the last few years but until now all Swedish interior magazines have targeted Scandinavian readers exclusively.

In this issue:
In the second issue of My Residence we visit the homes of 16 creatives in the Nordic region, including Kinfolk editor in chief Nathan Williams in Copenhagen and Norwegian stylist duo Kråkvik & D’Orazio. We get a rich insight to the Scandinavian interiors and design scene of today.

Carl Eldh was one of the great Swedish sculptors of the early 20th century. With its beautiful light and eye-catching details, his Stockholm studio remains as enchanting as it was during his lifetime.

MASTER OF MODERNISM
Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto has had an enormous impact on modern Scandinavian design. The villa he designed for himself and his wife in Helsinki in the 1930s is now a museum.
