Scenes is a biannual print magazine publishing screenplays and photography. Each issue includes an interview with a screenwriter, original and classical scripts, and film essays.
In this issue:
Issue #1, ‘Scenes of our past’, featuring creative screenwriting and photography work from Sabrina Mahfouz, Marcelo Montecino, Mustafah Abdulaziz, an in-depth interview with Berlinale Silver Bear winner Gonzalo Maza, and much more, will be shipped and in stores in September.
The issue will also include an examination of how Senegalese filmmaker and writer Ousmane Sembène explores colonial and neo-colonial hegemony in Africa from PhD researcher Ekua Agha, and an essay from Natasha Naayem, on nostalgia in Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight in Paris’.
